Locking Devices

How Lock Devices are Helpful to factor in your Security Plans

FPC security also provides locking devices in the form of mag locks for all type of doors, cabinets and lockers, electric strike locks for wooden and metal doors, and electronic dead drop bolt lock devices.

A magnetic lock usually referred to as a mag lock, often consists of an electromagnet and an armature plate. The magnet fits inside the door, which prevents interference, while the plate gets mounted on the front door’s face. When hooking the magnet to an electricity source, it gives off strong magnetic attraction, which holds the magnet steadily to the plate, proficiently locking a door. The lock is commonly powered using either the building’s electric powered system or an independent battery pack. These locks are claimed to be ” fail-safe, ” which means that once the power goes out, on all occasions, the door will remain unlocked and will allow occupants to exit safely.

Various Mechanisms

To open they rely on either of four basic methods. Magnetic buzzers, keypad systems, card readers and scanners for high-security places. Electric strike locks are electro-mechanical door locking mechanisms. These locks make it possible for you to release the locked latch or bolt on a door from outside the house or office using a key card, keypad, or any other electronic access key. Electric strike locks open from the interior by pressing a panic button or a manual release device. The locking device, which uses with high-value product selling businesses like jewelry stores and banks. These locks come with an intercom system that will be installed to enable you screen visitors and allow one to open the door from the inside or at a reception desk.

The lock devices have various pricing mechanism depending on a variety of factors. The most common factors are the type of locks, the installation process, the lock warranty and the maintenance needed. Type of lock affects the pricing because not all locks are manufactured equally.

As a general rule of Thumb, the more security the lock provides, the higher its price is. There are two installation processes, DIY (Do It Yourself), which is cheaper and applies to homeowners who know their way around their tools,  hardware, and professional installations which refer to lock devices that are more complicated.
