Medicinal cannabis, or medicinal marihuana, has garnered much national attention in recent years. Our customer is a Pioneer Entrepreneur in the Medical Cannabis Industry. His vision and the ability to make things done encourage him to move forward and after dealing with problems, risks and sacrifices, he is ready to feet up 4 medicinal marihuana facilities.

According to our customer his facilities require a robust security system due to the fact that it’s a facility that can be the object of robbers and the location was difficult as well.

The Challenge

Our client was looking for an inexpensive but high quality solution. First he needed to know what type of access control he should use and the possibility to integrate to CCTV systems. Likewise, he was worried about the quality and installation of the security products, so this was a key point for this project. Our customer and his team haven’t purchased access control systems before, therefore they needed precise advice for their project.

Solution & Results

First we explained the basis of access control systems, the most important thing is recognizing the needs of the customer, in this particular case they wanted to have a solution that could keep record of the people who access through the system, therefore we suggested a software based solution. The next step was to talk about the facility itself, specific information regarding the doors, and how many of those would be exposed to weather conditions, how many would be double doors, etc. Then we responded the technical questions that the customer had.

The solution that we offer to our client was a reliable access control system for 12 doors with single door maglocks and cards readers. The project was completed in 1 week from the first contact with the customer to the installation of the system.

We spoke with our client after he received the products, he loved them and he mentioned that the price was great in terms of the quality of the product. The products considered were, the panels for controlling the 12 doors, the 4 single door maglock for the outswing doors, and 8 for the inswing with its brackets. Card readers due to the fact that all of the doors were indoor and the customer didn’t require to access with a code.
